can be sourced from nearby towns for apartments. Fresh bakery goods can be delivered in the mornings. On Silvester (New Year’s Eve), merry neighbours spill outside, mingling with international guests as the champaigne flows on Panoramastraße (Panorama Street). Fireworks explode from street-level and mid-distances against the snowy mountains, for hours leading up to midnight. Special events and free concerts are held in this peak period.“Every year, I look forward to reuniting with the whole family at Haus Meilinger, in Obertauern. Here, surrounded by the mountains, time stands still, making room for what truly matters - closeness, quiet and the people we love. For me, there's hardly anything more beautiful than watching the sun rising over the snow-covered peaks or sinking golden behind them. And when the day draws to a close, we gather around the table together — tired from the movement in the fresh air, filled with a deep sense of connection, sharing a meal with the people closest to my heart, framed by laughter and stories — for me, that's the most beautiful moment of the day, the very heart of this special time of year.” – Janine
